disable snmp traps
Purpose Used to disable SNMP trap support on the Switch.
Syntax disable snmp traps
Description This command is used to disable SNMP trap support on the Switch.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To prevent SNMP traps from being sent from the Switch:
AT-9724TS:4# disable snmp traps
Command: disable snmp traps

disable snmp authenticate_traps
Purpose Used to disable SNMP authentication trap support.
Syntax disable snmp authenticate_traps
Description This command is used to disable SNMP authentication support on the Switch.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To disable the SNMP authentication trap support::
AT-9724TS:4# disable snmp authenticate_traps
Command: disable snmp authenticate_traps

config snmp system_contact
Purpose Used to enter the name of a contact person who is responsible for the Switch.
Syntax config snmp system_contact{<sw_contact>}
Description The config snmp system_contact command is used to enter the name and/or other information to
identify a contact person who is responsible for the Switch.A maximum of 255 character can be used.
Parameters <sw_contact> A maximum of 255 characters is allowed.A NULL string is accepted if there is no contact.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the Switch contact to “MIS Department II”:
AT-9724TS:4# config snmp system_contact richard
Command:config snmp system_contact richard
