OSPF show command options
You can use CLI show commands to help you troubleshoot OSPF issues.
Use the following show
commands for issues related to adjacency, interface, and associated
attributes, and status:
• show ip ospf interface show ipv6 ospf interface
• show ip ospf neighbor detail show ipv6 ospf neighbor detail
Use the following commands for a quick summary of the OSPF operations and configuration
on the system:
• show ip ospf show ipv6 ospf
• show ip protocols ospf show ipv6 protocols ospf
Use the following commands and related options to collect very specific information when
troubleshooting the OSPF route database: show ip ospf database show ipv6 ospf
database
The OSPF route database includes LSA information (both detailed and summary) in the
network. The following figure shows commands options for the OSPF route database for an
IPv4 network.

The summary
option gives you a quick overview of the LSA types present in the system and
the network, which is a good starting point for discovering missing routes or LSAs: show ip
