BGP clear options
In
certain extreme situations, you must completely delete all BGP routes or selectively delete
routes based on specific filters such as peer, AS, and so on. The following figure shows the
CLI command options you use to clear BGP routes.

You can also selectively delete BGP routes based on the Secure Router 2330/4134 either
generating
or receiving the updates. Configure features such as soft-reconfiguration and route-
refresh to help avoid disruptions in the network and to provide a quick recovery and
reconvergence from the clear operation. In the absence of these features, clearing routes
can cause routes to flap throughout the BGP network.
