Troubleshooting the Mediation Server Module
The procedures in this section assume that you have installed and configured the Microsoft
Office
Communications Server (OCS) components in your network according to the Microsoft
Office Communications Server 2007 Deployment Guide. It also assumes that Microsoft OCS
Mediation Server has been installed in the Mediation Server module of the Secure Router 4134
along with the OCS 2007 Resource Kit. For details on configuring the Mediation Server module,
see Avaya Secure Router 2330/4134 Configuration — SIP Media Gateway (NN47263-508).
After you have assigned in IP address to the Mediation Server module, you can use the central
OCS GUI to connect to the Mediation Server.
You can also use Remote Desktop to connect to the Mediation Server Module IP address. This
provides access to the Windows 2003 server running on the module as well as the OCS GUI
on the module.
If you experience connectivity issues or a non-responding Mediation Server Module, you can
connect directly to the module using a monitor and USB-based keyboard and mouse for
debugging.
Problem scenario 1
The
OCS Mediation Server installed in the Mediation Server module of the Secure Router 4134
does not show up in the OCS GUI.
