Troubleshooting OSPF over GRE/IPIP tunnels
This
section describes how to troubleshoot OSPF over GRE/IP-IP encapsulated tunnels. Note
that with tunnel routing, you must configure an IP address on the tunnel interface, and you
must enable routing for both the tunnel interface and the interface on which the tunnel is
configured. OSPF uses the tunnel interface name as the next hop for the routes learned over
the tunnel interface.
Procedure steps
1. To display the IP interfaces, enter:
show ip interfaces brief
2. To verify the OSPF enabled interfaces, enter:
show ip ospf interface brief
3. To verify the OSPF adjacencies, enter:
show ip ospf neighbor
4. To verify OSPF LSA database to find originated and received LSAs, enter:
show ip ospf database
Note that the asterisk (*) indicates self-originated LSAs.
