Verify the traffic flow (both Tx/Rx) on the destination port. Use the show interface
<interface> command.
If
possible, switch the Analyzer ports to a different card. Hot Swap the card if Mirroring is
working on the new card.
Troubleshooting Link Aggregation
This section details techniques used to troubleshoot Link Aggregation.
Troubleshooting a configuration failure
Link Aggregation is supported on all Ethernet ports. There can be only 8 Link Aggregation
groups (LAG) per bridge. The number of interfaces in each link can not exceed 4. The below
command will add the physical port 6/1 to the link (channel group) #1.
/configure/interface/ethernet (6/1)/lacp# channel-group 1 static
In static mode, the link aggregation is forced to be formed without any LACP negotiation. In
other words, the switch will neither send the LACP packet nor process any incoming LACP
packet.
/configure/interface/ethernet (6/1)/lacp# channel-group 1 mode
passive
In
passive mode, the switch does not initiate the channel, but does understand incoming LACP
packets. The peer (in active state) initiates negotiation to form the aggregation channel with
the peer.
/configure/interface/ethernet (6/1)/lacp# channel-group 1 mode active
In the active state, the switch initiates the negotiation. The link aggregate will be formed if the
other end is running in LACP active or passive mode.
Command fails with invalid interface error
Make sure the interfaces are all non-CPU Ethernet ports using the command show bridge
port.
