Solution
The
Mediation Server in the Mediation Server module of the Secure Router 4134 has not been
activated with the OCS setup for your system. Please refer to the Microsoft Mediation Server
for Hybrid Gateways document for steps to activate the Mediation Server. Once activated this
Mediation Server should appear in the Mediation Server section under the given OCS forest
domain in the GUI.
Problem scenario 2
Mediation Server in the Mediation Server module does not come up.
Solution
1. Verify
that Mediation Server module has a valid IP address configured. See Avaya
Secure Router 2330/4134 Configuration — SIP Media Gateway (NN47263-508) for
details to configure the IP address of the Mediation Server module.
2. Verify that Mediation Server module has been joined to the Active Directory of OCS
2007.
3. Verify that the Mediation Server properties namely Communication Server Listen
IP address, Default Location Profile, Office Communication Server next hop, PSTN
Gateway next hop and Certificate have been configured.
Problem scenario 3
Calls from OCS Client to PSTN numbers are not going through.
Solution
The following checklist needs to be verified in the given order.
1.
Verify that the Mediation Server is running. If not refer to Problem scenario 2.
2. Check whether you are able to ping the OCS Communication Server and PSTN
Gateway IP address from the Mediation Server module. If not, see Avaya Secure
Router 2330/4134 Configuration — SIP Media Gateway (NN47263-508) to
configure the required network interfaces.
3. Verify that the PSTN Gateway next hop Media Gateway is listening on transport
TCP on the configured listen port for SIP signaling packets.
