Warning:
Do
not run the Secure Router 2330/4134 for extended periods of time if the fans
are non-operational. On the Secure Router 4134, if the router is receiving power,
but the FAN LED is red and the fans remain inactive, replace the fan tray. If you
do not have another fan tray to install on the SR4134, or if the fans are not
operational on the SR2330, contact Avaya Technical Support.
LEDs are off
If all LEDs are off, make sure the power cable is firmly connected to the router and to an
electrical
outlet. If there is power to the unit, and all LEDs remain off, contact Avaya Technical
Support. Be sure to note whether the fans are running or not.
Console problem
Use
the procedure in this section if you have verified that power is reaching the Secure Router
2330/4134 and the chassis LEDs are working, but you cannot get a prompt at the console
port.
Procedure steps
1. Verify that your terminal emulator uses the following settings:
• 9600 bps
• 8 data bits
• 1 stop bit
• no parity
• flow control: None
2. Make sure the console cable is firmly connected to the router and to your
terminal.
3. Verify that the transmit and receive signals are not crossed.
Boot problems
If the router does not boot properly or you see improper text at the console, contact Avaya
Technical Support.
