Resetting to factory defaults from the boot menu
This
procedure describes the steps necessary to reset the Secure Router 2330/4134 to factory
defaults from the boot menu in the event that the administration password has been lost. This
command clears all the information stored in NvRam, including user information. Other major
information that will be cleared includes event logs, crash logs, command logs, and boot
parameters.
Procedure steps
1. Enter the command to reboot the switch.
reboot
Important:
This command is issued from the CLI root.
2. When prompted, press any key to stop the auto-boot.
The boot menu appears.
3. Press
X
to reset the switch to factory defaults.
Importing a saved configuration
The following procedures describe the steps necessary to import a saved configuration from
flash memory or from a network location.
Importing from flash memory
Import a saved configuration from flash memory.
Procedure steps
1.
To import a saved configuration from flash memory, enter the following command:
configuration flash
2. When prompted, enter the filename. For example:
fileName: system.cfg
