Dumping log files to another location
This
procedure describes the steps necessary to copy log files to another local device or send
to a network FTP or TFTP server. The options available are:
Copying locally to another device
Sending to a network FTP or TFTP server
Procedure steps
1. Enter the command to copy to a local device:
file copy </source/filename> </destination/filename>
2. Enter the command to upload to a network location:
file upload </source/filename> <destaddr> <filename>
[interface <ifname>] [id <username>] [passwd <password>]

Variable Value
<destaddr> The network destination address.
<destination> The destination device.
<filename> The filename used.
<ifname> The interface name.
<passwd> The password used to authenticate on the FTP/TFTP
server.
<source> The source device.
<username> The username used to authenticate on the FTP/TFTP
server.
Viewing debug output
The Secure Router 2330/4134 CLI contains a variety of debug commands to assist in
troubleshooting the router on a feature by feature basis. Please refer to the appropriate
troubleshooting sections in this document for further details.
The debug series
of commands are available at the top level of the CLI. If you cannot find the
debug commands, first verify that you are not in Configuration Mode. Refer to Avaya Secure
Router 2330/4134 — Using the Command Line Interface (NN47263-506) for more details.
