Ping does not work
This section describes steps you can use to troubleshoot a scenario where ping does not
work.
In a scenario where you cannot ping the Secure Router 2330/4134, first try to ping the router
from
an adjacent device. If you are able to ping from an adjacent device you can troubleshoot
the issue by invoking a traceroute to the Secure Router management IP address from both
machines in an attempt to determine the source of the error. You can also check and compare
routing tables on a problem machine and a functioning machine.
If you are not able to ping the Secure Router 2330/4134 from an adjacent machine you can
troubleshoot the issue by first checking to make sure cables are present, securely and properly
attached, and not damaged. You can also check the link status in the CLI and check IP address
information to make sure systems are operating on the same subnet.
