Troubleshooting MAC configuration and switching
To
add a list of interfaces and associated MAC addresses to the Layer 2 forwarding table, use
the mac address <mac address> {forward|discard} <interface> vlan <vid>
command. For more information please refer to Avaya Secure Router 2330/4134 Configuration
— Layer 2 Ethernet (NN47263-501).
Troubleshooting a configuration failure
MAC
command will fail if either the interface is not created or the interface is
not a member of the VLAN
Make sure the interfaces is created and it’s VLAN membership using the show bridge
port command.
Troubleshooting an operational failure
Traffic is not flowing
For untagged packets, verify the receiving interface is configured as either Access or
Hybrid using the show bridge port command.
For untagged unicast packets, verify there is a MAC entry in the bridge (either learned
dynamically or configure as static) using the show bridge mac command.
