IGMP Version configuration failure on an interface
Error: Port [ethernet2/1] is not switchport
For configuring IGMP version on an interface the interface needs to be a bridge port. Refer
user guide on how to create a bridge port.
Troubleshooting an operational failure
Host not added to a multicast group
This problem may result in the following symptoms:
•
Multicast traffic is not received by host
• Multicast traffic is flooded to all the ports in the VLAN
• IGMP Snooping is not working properly
1. Ensure the host ports, ports connected to traffic source and mrouter port are all
configured as bridge ports using the show bridge port command. Also ensure
they are members of VLAN on which traffic is sent.
2. Ensure the spanning-tree states of the ports are forwarding using the show
spanning-tree detail command.
