Policy-map cloning
The
policy-maps can be cloned to another policy-map name. This feature will help to create a
same set of configuration, but can be edited for minor changes from its original policy-map
configuration. The command clone-policy-map [cloned-policy-map] [policy-
map-to-be-cloned] used to clone a policy-map. We can use show qos chassis
policy-map [ policy-map-name ] detail to view the details of cloned policy-map.
Historical statistics
When
traffic classes are created and QoS features are enabled, per-class traffic statistics will
get updated during traffic classification. These statistics cab be viewed on system console
using CLI commands. But the user can view only the statistics at that time. If the user wants
to have the statistics for every hour, then the user has to manually take a log from the CLI. To
make this process as automated Historical statistics is used. It helps the user to upload these
Historical statistics to an FTP server. Once upload is enabled, the historical statistics will be
uploaded to the FTP server for every upload interval. The user can configure the upload
interval. The user can also turn off the upload feature. For each upload a new file will be created
in the FTP server. The file name will have the time at which it is uploaded. Statistics are taken
for every sample interval for a period of upload interval time. Then this statistics will be
