Ping to the FTP server and verify that the connection is available to the FTP server.
Statistics are not uploaded for a particular interface
Symptom: Historical statistics are not uploaded for a particular interface.
Problem description: The statistics that are collected for QoS on all the interfaces can be
uploaded to a file server through historical statistics. To enable this feature some of the
configurations like FTP server IP address, FTP username and password, and upload interval.
For an interface to get its statistics uploaded it should be a valid interface. The interface need
not be up and running but it should be assigned with an IP address.
Prerequisite: Historical statistics configured
Troubleshooting tips: Configure a valid IP address to that interface.
Marking
Marking is not happening on the classes
Symptom: Packets passing through the class, with marking feature are not actually marked.
Problem description: Marking is a feature by which the user can mark all the packets that are
passed through a class with desired dscp, IP precedence, priority and exp values. All the
features such as CBQ, Policing or marking will be applied only for the leaf classes. These
features will not have any effect on the parent classes which has child classes under it. When
the Parent class is becoming a leaf class (its child classes are deleted), these features will be
effective.
Prerequisite: Marking configuration is done on parent class and packets are forwarded through
that class.
