■ Escape Delivery Control
This function delivers double-fed paper detected by the Double Feeding Detection Sensor to the Escape Tray [1].
Paper is sent to the Escape Unit [2] by the Flapper [3] installed in the feed path to switch between two paths. The Flapper [3] is
controlled by the Escape Flapper Solenoid (SOL007).
When connected the Secondary Multi-drawer Paper Deck, the Escape Tray is not installed to the upstream Multi-drawer Paper
Deck.
The double-fed paper deliver to the Escape Tray installed to the downstream Multi-drawer Paper Deck.

A warning is displayed when the full of escape trays is detected. The timing of the warning display is based on the value of the
double-feed counter.
The double-feed counter is cleared by opening and closing the Deck Left Front Cover. (Assuming that the double-fed paper has
been removed.)
The current job continues even when a warning is displayed. In addition, the next and subsequent jobs are accepted even if the
Deck Left Front Cover has not been opened/closed and the double-feed counter has not been cleared.
The cumulative number of times of double-feed detection (double-feed counter) when the warning is displayed varies depending
on the size (paper length), basis weight, and type of the paper delivered to the escape tray.
If different paper sizes, different basis weights, different paper types, or combinations of those are mixed, the lowest cumulative
detection count is applied as the trigger for the warning display.
* For example, when "plain paper of 80 g/m
2
in LTR size" and "coated paper of 105 g/m
2
in LDR size" are mixed on the escape
tray, "10" is adopted as the number of times of double-feed detection (double-feed counter value) which is a condition of warning
display.
Number of times of double-feed detection to the warning display (reference)
Paper length: 215.9 mm or less
Thin paper (52 to 79 g/m

): 25 times
Plain paper (80 to 105 g/m
2

Coated paper (70 to 105 g/m
2
): 25 times
Coated paper (106 to 399 g/m
2
): 35 times
Paper length: more than 215.9 mm to 487.7 mm or less
Thin paper (52 to 79 g/m
2
): 10 times
Plain paper (80 to 105 g/m
2

Coated paper (70 to 105 g/m

Coated paper (106 to 399 g/m

When the escape tray becomes full and the escape flapper gets physically blocked and no longer returning to the home position,
