4. Remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold
bolts (1).
5. Remove the oxygen sensor (2).
6. Raise and support the vehicle.
7. Remove the bolts (1), springs and gasket.
(Tighten: Exhaust bolts to 60 ± 5 N·m)
8. Remove the catalytic converter retaining bolts (1) &
(3) and support isolators (2).
(Tighten: Catalytic converter mounting bolts to
60 ± 5 N·m)
9. Remove the catalytic converter.
10. Clean exhaust pipe ends and ensure all exhaust components fit properly.
11. Discard broken or worn isolators, rusted or overused clamps, supports, and attaching parts.
12. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
Installation Note:
• Replace the gasket between two pipes.
