•Thiscommandis valid forall characters (alphanumeric,kana, andkanji) except forHRIcharacters.
• This command is ignored if either the vertical magnification or horizontal magnification is out of the defined
range.
• In PAGE MODE, the vertical direction means the top-bottom direction of each character. The horizontal
directionmeanstheside-to-sidedirectionofeachcharacter.Ifcharactersofdifferentverticalmagnificationare
contained ina line, thebaseline of eachcharacter islined up.
•Horizontalandvertical magnificationcanalso be specified/canceled by ESC! but thesettingofcommand last
processed isvalid.
•InSTANDARD MODE,theverticaldirectionisdefined asthepaper feed direction, and the horizontal direction
isdefinedasthe directionperpendiculartothe paper feed.
• Setting memory SW 3-7 to ON allows the horizontal and vertical relations to be interchanged when
90°-right-turnning of character is specified.
