•This command is usedinPAGE MODE to specify theverticalposition ofa character inthe data mappingstart
position, in arelativeposition with respect to the current position.
•The next data mapping start position will be at apoint [(nL+nH×256)×basic calculation pitch] inches away
from thecurrent position.
[Caution] [The specification which is commontothemodel]
•Thiscommandis ignoredwhen PAGE MODEis notselected.
• If a new position is specified for a character located beneath the current position, it should be specified as
positive (+).Ifit isabove thecurrent position,itshould benegative(–).
•Anegativevalueisthecomplementof65536.Forexample,tomovethepositionbyNpitchesup,specifyitas:
nL+ nH x256 =65536– N
•The specificationofa relative positionoutside thespecified print area is ignored.
•Depending on thestart point specifiedbyESCT, thiscommandacts asfollows:
(1) If thestart point isthetopleftorbottom right, the command specifiesthe relative position inthe paper
feed direction(thecharacter’stop-bottom direction) usingthe verticalbasic calculation pitch(y).
(2)Ifthestartpointisthetoprightorbottomleft,the commandspecifies therelativeposition inthedirection
perpendicular tothe paperfeed (thecharacter’stop-bottom direction) usingthe horizontal basic
calculationpitch(x).
•The basiccalculation pitchisset by GS P.
• Fractions resulting from calculations are corrected with the minimum pitch of the mechanism, and the
remainderisomitted.
