[Function] Definingtheprint area inPAGEMODE
[Code] <1B>H<57>H<xL><xH><yL><yH><dxL><dxH><dyL><dyH>
[Range] 0≤xL,xH, yL,yH, dxL,dxH,dyL,dyH≤255
exceptfor dxL=dxH=0 or dyL=dyH=0
[Outline] [The specification which is commontothemodel]
•Defines the location andsize ofthe print area.
•Horizontal start point = [(xL+xH×256)×basiccalculation pitch] inches
•Vertical start point = [(yL+yH×256)×basiccalculation pitch] inches
•Horizontal length = [(dxL+dxH×256)×basic calculation pitch] inches
•Vertical length = [(dyL+dyH×256)×basic calculation pitch] inches
[Caution] [The specification which is commontothemodel]
•When STANDARD MODE is selected, thiscommandonlyexecutes the internal flagging ofthe
printer without affecting the printing inSTANDARD MODE.
•Ifthehorizontalstartpointorverticalstartpoint isoutof the printablearea, this command is canceledand the
next data ishandled asnormal data.
•Ifthehorizontallengthorverticallengthis0,thiscommandiscanceledandthenextdataishandledasnormal
data.
•The character mappingpositionwill be the start point specifiedbyESCT inthe print area.
•Ifthe“horizontal start point +horizontal length” isgreaterthan thehorizontal printable area, the“horizontal
printable area –horizontalstartpoint” istaken as the horizontallength.
• If the “vertical start point + vertical length” is greater than the vertical printable area, the “vertical printable
area– verticalstart point” istaken asthe vertical length.
• The basic calculation pitch is defined by GS P. Once defined, the print area is not changed if the basic
calculationpitchischanged byGS P.
• Fractions resulting from calculations are corrected with the minimum pitch of the mechanism, and the
remainderisomitted.
•The horizontal start point andhorizontal length arecalculated withthebasic calculation pitch(x). The vertical
startpoint andverticallength arecalculated with thebasic calculation pitch(y).
•The figure below illustratesthe print area, where X=horizontal start point, Y=vertical start point, Dx =
horizontal length, andDy =vertical length.
•The printable area isapproximately 117 mm(938/203 inches) vertically, andhorizontal area dependson the
model.(Refertothe below Table)
