● The vehicle speed is within the specified
range (5~30km/h for the ego vehicle, and
0~55km/h for oncoming vehicles);
● The vehicle is moving forward;
● The driver's door is closed;
● The driver does not depress the accelerator
pedal deeply for full acceleration.
● The JA can assist the driver, aiming at
improving the comfort and safety of
driving. However, it cannot take place of
the driver in driving. During turning, the
driver must drive carefully, maintain
control of the vehicle, and is required to
obey traffic rules.
● During operation of JA, if the driver
chooses to depress the accelerator pedal
deeply to take over the vehicle or turn the
steering wheel sharply, resulting in the
loss of target, the JA function will be
interrupted and deactivated.
Use and state description of function
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is set
to “ON” position, the JA will remember the last
position.
When the JA is turned on and the system is free
of fault, the JA ON indicator lamp will go off
immediately after self-test.
When the JA is turned on and working and the
activation conditions are met, the JA ON
indicator lamp will flash, and the instrument
cluster will give an audible alarm.
When the “JA” function is turned off via MP5, the
JA OFF indicator lamp will come on, and JA
will be turned off at this time.
Factors of function limitations
Even if the JA function is activated and working,
the system may be affected or inoperative under
the following conditions:
● Since the JA has certain function activation
conditions, the driver should not intentionally
test or deliberately wait for the triggering of
the JA.
● The JA only works on vehicles traveling in
opposite directions, and does not work on
obstacles including but not limited to
pedestrians crossing the road/low-speed
bicycles, moped scooters, motorcycles and
animals.
● The radar detection may be interfered and
degraded by other radar sources, strong
radar reflections, or strong electromagnetic
fields.
● The radar and camera detection may be
limited under severe weather conditions
(such as heavy rain, heavy snow, hail, etc.).
● The sensor detection may be disturbed and
the performance of JA may be degraded if
the radar or camera is dirty or covered (by
license plate frame, front bumper, front
windshield fog, other coverings, etc.).
