Stabilizing vehicle on a flat road
Before replacing a tire on a flat road, use chocks
or other suitable blocks, rocks, etc. in front of
and behind the wheel diagonal with the
damaged tire to prevent vehicle movement when
it is jacked up.
Stabilizing vehicle on a slop
If you have to replace a tire on a downhill road,
use chocks or other suitable blocks, stones, etc.,
in front of the front and rear intact wheels; if you
have to replace a tire on a uphill road, use
chocks or other suitable blocks, stones, etc.,
behind the front and rear intact wheels to
prevent the vehicle from moving when it is
jacked up.
Removing damaged wheel
1. Take out the driver's tools and the spare
wheel from the storage area under the trunk
floor.
2. Place the jack under the correct jacking point;
3. Rotate the jack screw to hold down the body
jacking point via the jack head slot, without
jacking the vehicle up;
4. Place the spare wheel below the body on the
faulty wheel side as a safety precaution;
5. Use the wheel removal & refitting wrench to
unscrew the fixing bolts of each damaged wheel
counterclockwise by 1-2 turns;
