Speed limit reminder
The ISLI function can recognize speed limit
signs and give speed limit reminders in the
following two ways:
● Speed limit reminder by camera: when the
camera of this vehicle approaches the speed
limit sign, the speed limit value is displayed;
the speed limit value disappears after driving
for a certain distance.
● Speed limit reminder by navigation system:
when the speed limit of the intelligent
transportation system is recognized, the
speed limit sign will be displayed in advance.
When the camera can not identify the speed
limit value, if the navigation system can
provide the speed limit information, the speed
limit value identified by the navigation system
can be used as the effective speed limit
value.
When the speed limit reminder by the camera is
being given, if the vehicle changes lanes or the
camera recognizes the Speed Limit Cancellation
sign, the ISLI function will terminate the speed
limit reminder early.
Overspeed alarm
When the vehicle speed displayed on the
instrument cluster is greater than the current
speed limit value + 5km/h, an overspeed alarm
will be given through a flashing speed limit sign
icon and a sound “ding”. When the vehicle speed
displayed on the instrument cluster is lower than
the speed limit or the driver continues driving
overspeed for more than a certain period of time,
the icon stops flashing.
Cruise control
The ISLC obtains speed limit information through
camera and navigation system. When the
difference between the obtained effective speed
limit value and the current cruising speed set via
the instrument cluster exceeds -10km/h, the
ISLC will display a pop-up reminder at the
designated position of the instrument cluster,
which will flash briefly and then keep still for a
short time. If the driver gives a confirmation
within the prompt time range, the pop-up
reminder will be terminated and the set cruising
speed will be updated to the effective speed limit
value, and the ISLC will control the speed. If the
driver fails to give a confirmation within the
prompt time range, the pop-up reminder will be
terminated after the vehicle travels a certain
distance.
Function limitations
For factors affecting the ISLI function, refer to
“Function limitations” in “Traffic sign recognition
(TSR)*” .
Intelligent cruise assist (ICA)*
The ICA is an advanced driver assistance
system that integrates transverse and
longitudinal control of the vehicle. It integrates all
functions of ACC and has the lane centering
control function, and can be quickly turned on by
the button on the steering wheel.
The system can operate in cruise control mode
(no target vehicle detected) and car following
mode (target vehicle detected) while keeping the
vehicle between lane markings if the lane
markings on both sides are clear.
● The ICA system can assist the driver,
aiming at improving the comfort and
safety of driving. However, it cannot take
place of the driver in driving. Even if the
ICA system is active, the driver must drive
carefully, maintain control of the vehicle at
all times, and is required to obey traffic
rules.
● In some cases (too small safe distance
between the vehicle and the front vehicle,
excessive relative speed, sudden lane
change of front vehicle, etc.), the system
does not have enough time to reduce the
vehicle speed. Therefore, the driver must
react in good time.
