5. Set the ENGINE START/STOP button to OFF
position;
6. Open the engine hood, and remove the
positive battery terminal trim cover;
7. Connect the red positive jumper cable by
connecting the positive terminal of the
inoperative battery to that of the other battery (①
→ ②). Connect it carefully so as to avoid short
circuit;
8. Connect the black negative jumper cable by
connecting the negative terminal to the ground
point (③ → ④). Connect it carefully so as to
avoid short circuit;
9. Start the engine of rescue vehicle to run it
for several minutes;
10. Depress the accelerator pedal of rescue
vehicle to keep the engine running at about
2,000r/min;
11. Start the engine of faulty vehicle as usual;
12. When the faulty vehicle's engine starts,
disconnect the jumper cables in the order
reverse to connecting so as to avoid short circuit.

1. If the battery of rescue vehicle is far away
from the battery of faulty vehicle, park two
vehicles in such a way that their batteries come
closer to each other;
2. Apply the parking brake;
3. Move the shift lever to “P” (parking) position.
4. Switch off all electrical consumers (such as
the lamps, heater and A/C);
