Under no circumstances can the parking
assist replace or exempt the driver’s
responsibility.
Parking radar*
This vehicle is equipped with a parking radar
system. During reversing or parking at a narrow
parking space, the radar sensors installed on
front and rear bumpers can detect the presence
of obstacles around the vehicle and the
distances between them. With the assistance of
audible and visual prompt, the driver can safely
and easily conduct reversing and parking so as
to avoid collision.
● The reversing radar system cannot
replace the driver's responsibility. The
driver should be highly alert during
reversing, as the reversing radar system
may not detect:
- objects under the bumper or vehicle, or
objects that are too close to or too far
away from the vehicle.
- children, pedestrians, bicyclists or pets.
- very tiny objects.
● If the driver does not notice conditions behind the
vehicle before or during reversing, it may cause
an accident. Even if the vehicle is equipped with
a reversing radar system, the driver must
observe carefully before reversing. During
reversing, the driver must observe for obstacles
and the vehicle's rearview mirror.
Alarm of parking radar*
When the sensors detect obstacles within their
detection range, different colors of auxiliary lines
will be shown if the vehicle tail on the LCD is
touched, and the buzzer will also send alarm
sounds at different frequencies based on the
distances between the vehicle and the detected
obstacles.
There are four levels of alarm frequencies for the
front parking radar*:
Distance to
detected obstacle
Rapid intermittent
sound (4Hz)
There are four levels of alarm frequencies for the
rear parking radar:
Distance to
detected obstacle
Rapid intermittent
sound (4Hz)
There are two levels of alarm frequencies for the
side parking radar:
Distance to
detected
obstacle
Rapid intermittent
sound (4Hz)
Activation condition of parking radar
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is in
“ON” position and the vehicle speed is less than
12km/h, the front/rear/side parking radar system
can be enabled by the following operations:
● The front parking radar system* (front
obstacle monitoring) and side parking radar
system* (side obstacle monitoring) can be
enabled/disabled through “Vehicle settings” -
“Body settings” - “Convenient” on the MP5
display;
● If the shift lever is set to “R” position, the
parking radar will be enabled; if the shift lever
is moved out of “R” position, the parking
radar will be disabled.
