Occupant Monitoring System (OMS)*
The OMS monitors the occupants’ behavior and
state by using the camera behind the interior
rearview mirror, and achieves the functions such
as “child reminder”, “child safety seat reminder”,
“rear seat belt reminder”, “leaving reminder” and
“intelligent monitoring” via MP5 voice and text.
The camera of OMS can also be used to realize
the gesture control and interior
photographing/video recording functions.
Monitoring functions
Rear seat belt reminder
When the vehicle is running at a speed higher
than 10km/h, if the system detects that the rear
passenger does not fasten the seat belt, MP5
will issue a voice reminder of “The rear
passenger should fasten the seat belt”.
● If the passenger's clothes color is close to
the seat belt color, the recognition rate of
the seat belt will decrease.
● If the front seat is adjusted backward
excessively, it will obscure the seat belt
recognition areas on both sides of the
rear seat, and also lead to a decrease in
the recognition rate of the rear seat belt.
● In IR mode (night infrared mode), the
recognition accuracy of rear seat belts will
decrease, so it is difficult to distinguish
clothes from the seat belts.
● This function is only used as an auxiliary
reminder. The rear passengers should
comply with traffic regulations and take
the initiative to fasten the seat belt.
Rear child monitoring
During driving, if the system detects that there is
a young child in the rear seat, MP5 will issue a
voice reminder of “Whether to switch to baby
care mode since there is a child passenger in
the vehicle”.
Different children have unbalanced
development. When a child is tall, MP5 may
not issue a voice reminder.
Rear child safety seat monitoring
When the vehicle is running at a speed higher
than 25km/h, if the system detects that the rear
child does not sit in the child safety seat, MP5
will issue a voice reminder of “The rear child
should sit in the child safety seat and fasten
the seat belt”.
● If a child obscures most of the child safety
seat, there is a small probability of false
alarm about child safety seat reminder.
● Since the front seats may obscure the left
or right position of the rear seats
excessively, it is recommended to install
the child safety seat on the rear center
seat.
● This function is only used as an auxiliary
reminder. Before driving, please make
sure that the rear child sits in the child
safety seat and fastens the seat belt.
