can easily cause fire and explosion!
Precautions for washing vehicle using an
automatic vehicle washer
If the AUTO HOLD function is enabled, the
vehicle will brake automatically in some cases.
To avoid damaging the vehicle, disable the
AUTO HOLD function before washing the
vehicle with a vehicle washing device. (See page
136 for detailed operation)
Before washing the vehicle, please make sure it
meets the following conditions:
● Windows and the sunroof are completely
closed.
● A/C system is off
● Windshield wiper & washer combination
switch is at the initial position.
While washing the vehicle using an automatic
vehicle washer, make sure the vehicle meets the
following conditions:
● Exterior rearview mirrors have been folded.
● Shift the transmission to “N”.
● Parking brake has been released.
● Brake pedal has been released.
● The vehicle moves in the automatic
vehicle washer in such a way that it is
towed. If the shift lever is set to “P”
position, the transmission will be
damaged. If the vehicle is towed forcibly
when the parking brake has been applied,
the vehicle may be damaged.
● Before washing the vehicle using an
automatic vehicle washer, remove dirt
and large amounts of dust on the vehicle
to avoid damage to the body.
● After cleaning the vehicle in the automatic
washing machine, remove the wax on the
windshield and wiper blade to reduce the
contamination on the windshield and
wiping noise of the wiper.
Interior cleaning
Remove dust and dirt from the vehicle interior
(such as interior trims, plastic components and
seats, etc.) with dust collector or duster; use a
piece of clean and soft cloth soaked with soft
soapy water to remove dirt from plastic and
leather products, and then wipe them dry with a
piece of soft cloth.
For maintenance of leather appearance, pay
attention to the related requirements of the
manufacturer, as some protective agents contain
chemicals and they may damage or corrode the
leather cover of seat. Scrub the leather surfaces
with a piece of soft cloth wetted by a little clear
water.
● Never wipe with any light gasoline, diluent
or similar fluid.
● Tiny dirt particles will wear and damage
the leather surface, so they should be
removed immediately. Do not use leather
soap, wax polish, cleaning fluid, solvent,
detergent or cleanser containing ammonia
water, which will damage the n tural
gloss of the leather.
