Parking method
The vehicle should be parked in a safe and flat
area.
A correct parking method ensures that the
vehicle is secured to prevent accidental vehicle
sliding:
1. Park the vehicle steady, apply the parking
brake, and check that the parking brake works
reliably;
2. Set the shift lever to “P” position;
3. Check that all lights and other electrical
consumers are turned off. Check that the
sunroof (if equipped) and windows are closed,
shut down the engine, carry the key, and lock all
doors;
4. During parking on a slope, the front wheels
must be turned to the road edge to avoid vehicle
sliding by using the curb.
5. During parking on a slope, the front wheels of
the vehicle must be fixed with wheel chocks or
similar items when the vehicle is unloaded, and
all wheels of the vehicle must be fixed when the
vehicle is loaded;
Parking on a downhill road with curb
Turn the steering wheel towards the curb and
drive the vehicle forward slowly until the front
wheels on the curb side gently contact the curb.
Parking on an uphill road with curb
Turn the steering wheel away from the curb and
drive the vehicle backward slowly until the front
wheels on the curb side gently contact the curb.
