Data link connector (DLC)
The OBD DLC is located on the lower left side of
the instrument panel and is used for digital
communication between the vehicle ECU and
the diagnostic scan tool. This DLC can be
connected to a diagnostic scan tool to obtain
information such as vehicle ECU data, DTCs,
VIN, etc.
The VIN can be read with X431-PRO4
diagnostic scan tool as follows: connect the
DLC, turn on the diagnostic scan tool, first click
the Dongfeng diagnostic software to select the
corresponding model, and then enter the
EMS/BCM, etc. to select the system
identification to read the VIN.
Microwave window
The microwave window is located around the
interior rearview mirror, where communication
devices related to ETC, access control, smart
parking or others can be installed. This area
does not allow the application of solar film, etc.,
to ensure effective data reading.
Engine serial number
The attached engine serial number can be seen
on the engine air cleaner when the engine hood
is open.○

cylinder block is on the side connected to the
transmission, and beside the starter (as shown
above).
The unique engine serial number is engraved on
the cylinder block of each engine.
