Function failure
When the vehicle is running normally, if the TLC
fault warning lamp (red) on the instrument
cluster goes on, it means that the TLC is faulty.
At this time, the TLC fails, and the LKA still
maintains control of the vehicle.
If the TLC fault warning lamp goes on, please
contact the authorized dealer for inspection as
soon as possible.
Factors of function limitations
Even if the TLC function is activated and
working, the system may be affected or
inoperative under the following conditions:
● Poor visibility caused by, e.g., rain or fog;
● There are obstacles in front of the camera;
● Overtemperature around the camera due to
direct sunlight;
● Glare due to direct sunlight, oncoming traffic,
reflected light from road water-logging, etc.;
● Sudden changes in outdoor brightness, such
as when entering/exiting tunnels;
● Headlamp not turned on at night or when the
light illumination is low in tunnels;
● Absence of lane markings, or difficulty in
distinguishing the lane marking color from the
road surface color;
● Lane markings are unclear and irregular;
● Too wide or narrow lanes, or too sharp
curves;
● Increase or decrease in lanes, or complicated
routing of lane markings;
● More than two lane markings on the left and
right sides of the vehicle;
● Marks or objects similar to lane markings on
roads;
● Isolation strips or other objects casting
shadows on lane markings;
● Short-term change of markings, such as at
on-ramp or freeway exit.
Auto Lane Change (ALC) *
For ALC, the function of automatically judging
whether lane changes are allowed in the left lane
during following and reminding the driver to
change lanes leftwards is added on the basis of
TLC. If the speed of the lead vehicle is more
than 10km/h lower than the set cruising speed of
the ego vehicle and remains for a period of time
during following, the ego vehicle will judge
whether lane changes are allowed in the left
lane. If so, the system will remind the driver to
change lanes leftwards. At this time, the ego
vehicle will change lanes leftwards automatically
after the driver turns on the left turn signal lamp.
The ALC can assist the driver, aiming at
improving the comfort and safety of driving.
However, it cannot take place of the driver in
driving. During lane changes, the driver must
drive carefully, maintain control of the vehicle
at all times, and is required to obey traffic
rules.
