Driver monitoring system*
The driver monitoring system uses the camera
on the left A-pillar to monitor the driver's
behavior and state such as fatigue, failure to
look straight ahead, smoking, making a call or
longtime driving, and reminds the driver to
concentrate and drive the vehicle safely through
the instrument cluster, text pop-up window,
buzzer sounding, warning lamp and MP5 voice.
The system also has face recognition function.
Face recognition
When the vehicle power supply is switched to
ACC, after the system is started (about 7s), if the
driver faces the camera for 2s, the instrument
cluster will display “Face recognition is
successful”, and the buzzer will sound,
indicating that the system completes the driver's
face recognition.
During face recognition, don't wear a mask,
wear a hat or obscure the face; otherwise,
the face won't be recognized successfully.
Monitoring functions
Fatigue driving monitoring
When the vehicle is running at a speed higher
than 35km/h, if the system detects the driver's
fatigue state such as squinting, closing eyes,
dozing and yawning, the instrument cluster will
display a text pop-up window of “Since you are
driving in fatigue state, please stop the
vehicle for rest”, the buzzer will sound, the
warning lamp will go on, and the MP5 will issue
a voice reminder of “Since you are driving in
fatigue state, please stop the vehicle for
rest”.
Wearing glasses may affect the fatigue
driving monitoring function.
Inattention monitoring
When the vehicle is running at a speed higher
than 15km/h with the small steering wheel angle
and the left and right turn signal lamp switches
turned off, if the system monitors that the driver's
eyes are looking left and right, the instrument
cluster will display a text pop-up window of
“Please pay attention for safe driving”, the
buzzer will sound, the warning lamp will go on,
and the MP5 will issue a voice reminder of
“Please pay attention for safe driving”.
When the vehicle is running at a speed higher
than 15km/h, an alarm will also be given if the
system monitors that the driver is
answering/making a call or smoking.
