Function failure
When ESA is faulty, the ESA fault warning lamp
will come on, and the instrument cluster will
display “ESA fault”. At this time, contact the
authorized dealer for inspection.
Front crossing traffic alert (FCTA)*
The FCTA is used to monitor other front side
road targets laterally approaching in real time
when the vehicle is moving forward at low
speed, and send a warning message in a
manner of combination of instrument cluster
pop-up window and warning sound when there is
danger of collision.
The FCTA is only a driver assistance system,
which cannot be suitable for all driving
situations. The driver must always have
control on the vehicle and take full
responsibility for the vehicle.
Enabling/disabling FCTA
Each time the ENGINE START/STOP button is
set to “ON” position, the FCTA will keep the state
in which the ENGINE START/STOP button is set
to “OFF” position last.
The FCTA can be enabled/disabled in the
“CarCenter” - “Driving assistance” - “FWA” -
“FCTA” menu on the MP5 display.
Function activation conditions
The FCTA can be used only when the following
conditions are met:
● The FCTA is not faulty;
● The speed of the ego vehicle is higher than
1km/h and lower than 15km/h;
● The driver does not make a sharp turn;
● The vehicle is shifted into a forward gear;
Function status description
When the FCTA is turned on and the system is
free of fault, the upper left corner of the omni-
directional early warning assist indicator lamp
lights up in green.
When “FCTA” is set off through MP5, the icon in
the upper left corner of the omni-directional early
warning assist indicator lamp goes out or
the indicator lamp is off. In this case, the FCTA
is disabled.
