Function failure
When the RCTA function fails (for example,
faulty rear corner radar sensor), the BSD
indicator lamp (orange) goes on or the
lower left corner of the omni-directional early
warning assist indicator lamp lights up in orange
( , or ). In this case, contact the
authorized dealer for inspection.
Door opening warning (DOW)*
After the vehicle stops properly, when the
occupants open the doors or get off the vehicle,
if the sensors detect the danger of collision with
moving vehicles behind on either side, the DOW
will remind the driver and passengers of danger
in door opening or getting off through the
indicator lamps on the exterior rearview mirrors
and audible warnings.
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is in
“ON” position after the vehicle stops properly, or
in 3 minutes after the ENGINE START/STOP
button is switched from “ON” to “OFF” with the
vehicle in unlocked state, the DOW function
works.
When the DOW detects that there are
approaching vehicles, bicycles, etc. in the
adjacent lanes and there is a risk in opening the
door of the vehicle, the indicator lamp on the
exterior rearview mirror on the target side lights
up; if the driver and passengers continue to open
the door at this time, the indicator lamp will flash,
accompanied by an audible alarm, indicating that
it is dangerous to continue opening the door.
The DOW is only a driver assistance system,
which cannot be suitable for all driving
situations. The driver must always have
control on the vehicle and take full
responsibility for the vehicle.
Enabling/disabling DOW
Each time the ENGINE START/STOP button is
set to “ON” position, the DOW will keep the state
in which the ENGINE START/STOP button is set
to “OFF” position last.
The DOW can be enabled/disabled through the
“System settings” – “Vehicle” – “Driving
assistance” – “Rear side warning assist” –
“DOW” menu on the MP5 display.
Function limitations
In some cases, the DOW function may not work
properly or be inoperative:
● There are vehicles approaching or leaving
quickly.
● The target (motorcycle, electric vehicle,
bicycle, pedestrian, etc.) is small.
● The target (vehicle, pedestrian, etc.) is
stationary.
● Harsh environments such as rain and snow.
● Sharp bends, slopes, excessively wide or
narrow lanes.
False alarm of function
In some cases, the DOW function may be
affected and generate false alarms:
● The rear bumper is slightly covered with dirt
or snow;
● During driving, the distance from isolation
strips and flower beds is very small;
● There are a large number of metal objects in
the surrounding environment (such as plant,
container port and building area).

lamp (orange) goes on or the lower left
corner of the omni-directional early warning
assist indicator lamp lights up in orange ( ,

dealer for inspection.
