Exterior rearview mirror
The exterior rearview mirrors have functions of
electric adjustment, electric heating*, and electric
folding*.
Adjustment of exterior rearview mirror angle
The adjuster of the exterior rearview mirrors is
located on the driver's door armrest.
This adjuster works only when the ENGINE
START/STOP button is in the “ACC” or “ON”
position.
1. Select the exterior rearview mirror to be
adjusted, and turn the adjusting knob to the
position (for left exterior rearview mirror)
or (for right exterior rearview mirror);
2. Operate the adjusting knob forward or
backward to adjust the exterior rearview mirror
vertically, and leftward or rightward to adjust the
exterior rearview mirror horizontally;
3. After the adjustment, turn the adjusting knob
to the position.
● Never adjust the exterior rearview mirror
while driving the vehicle. Please adjust it
before driving in order to be able to
concentrate on driving the vehicle.
● Never touch the exterior rearview mirror
by hand when adjusting its angle, or
fingers may be hurt or the rearview mirror
may be damaged.
● The image of the object displayed by the
exterior rearview mirror is smaller than the
real object. The distance between the
object and the vehicle displayed by the
exterior rearview mirror is shorter than the
actual distance. Therefore, the actual
distance to the vehicle or object behind
must be correctly estimated.
Recommended angles of exterior rearview
mirror
Horizontal angle: the vehicle body ○
A
occupies
about 1/4 of the mirror surface.
Vertical angle: the ground ○
B
occupies about
1/2 of the mirror surface.
Horizontal angle: the vehicle body ○
C
occupies
about 1/4 of the mirror surface.
Vertical angle: the ground ○
D
occupies about
2/3 of the mirror surface.
