Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) *
The ELK can detect lane markings, curbs and
oncoming vehicles and rear overtaking vehicles
in the adjacent lane on the driver side. The ELK
prevents the ego vehicle from deviating from the
ego lane through steering assistance when
detecting that the ego vehicle is about to deviate
from the solid line of ego lane, or is about to
deviate from the dotted line of ego lane and at
risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle or
overtaking vehicle in the adjacent lane.
Function activation conditions
The ELK can be used only when the following
conditions are met:
The camera/front radar/front and rear corner
radars work normally;
There is a detectable lane marking on both
sides or one side of the ego lane, and the
vehicle is in the lane;
The vehicle speed is 60-130 km/h;
The vehicle is driving on a straight or slightly
curved road;
The hazard warning lamp is not on;
CAUTION
Always hold the steering wheel with both
hands and be ready to make a turn at any
time. The driver must drive in the correct
lane.
The ELK may recognize the lines on the
road as lane information (such as zebra
crossing, poor road surface and stone
road). Please maintain control of the
vehicle or turn off this function.
When the vehicle is in road sections with
complicated lanes (intersection/suddenly
changed lane markings/converging lane
markings, etc.), the lane information may
not be detected for a short time. Please
maintain control of the vehicle.
The ELK can identify the curb information.
However, under conditions of unclear
curbs (mountain road/road under
construction/sandy and muddy road/river
embankment/cliff, etc.), the driver must
maintain control of the vehicle.
The driver must keep effective control of
the steering wheel at all times, because
the ELK cannot avoid the risk of collision
in the ego lane when there are other
vehicles or pedestrians in the ego lane.
