Description of jump starting
If the engine cannot start due to over-discharge
of the battery, it can be started by connecting the
battery to that of another vehicle via the jumper
cables. In addition, the following points should
be noted:
● Make sure the rated voltage of the battery is
12 V and its capacity (Ah) is not lower than
that of the battery from the faulty vehicle.
● The clip of the jumper cable must be
insulated.
● The battery may be surrounded by
explosive hydrogen. The battery must be
kept far away from any fire spark and
open fire.
● Before starting operation on the battery,
be sure to carefully read and follow the
warning instructions for safety related to
battery operation, and it is recommended
have a professional operate it.
● Make sure that the polarity of the
connected jumper cables is correct and
that the clamps are securely connected
before jump starting; avoid damage to the
equipment, sparks , etc. caused by
reversed polarity or loose clamp.
Avoiding accumulation of static electricity
Highly flammable gas mixture is generated
during charging the battery or jump starting, thus
make sure that neither you nor the battery
accumulates static electricity. For example, static
electricity may accumulate under the following
conditions:
1. You are wearing clothing made of synthetic
fabrics;
2. Your clothing rubs against the seat;
3. The battery is pulled or pushed across the
carpet or other synthetic material;
4. The battery is wiped with a piece of cloth.
Description of positive and negative
terminals on the battery
The positive battery terminal has a “+” mark
around itself, and the negative battery terminal
has a “-” mark around itself.
