Function activation conditions
The ESA can be used only when the following
conditions are met:
The ESA is enabled;
The ESA fault warning lamp is not on;
The vehicle speed is in the working range of
50~80km/h;
The ESC is enabled;
The FCW is enabled;
The four doors are closed properly;
The driver's seat belt is fastened;
No wipers are turned on;
Hazard warning lamps are not turned on;
There is danger of collision and the FCW
gives an alarm;
The driver turns the steering wheel for
avoidance and there is enough space on the
avoidance side;
If there are lane markings on the avoidance
side, the lane markings shall be of the type
allowing lane changes by traffic rules.
CAUTION
The driver should not completely rely on
the ESA, or intentionally test or
deliberately wait for the triggering of the
ESA. Due to the inherent limitations of the
system, missed or false triggers cannot
be completely avoided. Whether the ESA
works or not, the driver is always
responsible for and in control of the
vehicle.
The ESA can only work on cars, trucks
and other vehicles, but can not work on
other obstacles.
The target detection of ESA sensor is
affected by the surrounding environment.
For details, please refer to the AEB
section.
Since the ESA is affected by road
surface, tire wear, vehicle load and other
factors, it may fail to completely straighten
the vehicle head after work. At this time,
the driver shall control the steering wheel
and take over the vehicle to ensure the
safe driving of the vehicle.
When the ESA works on a road with low
adhesion coefficient, if the ESC system
works, the ESA may be deactivated in
advance. At this time, the driver shall
control the steering wheel and take over
the vehicle to ensure the safe driving of
the vehicle.
CAUTION
Even if there is a risk of collision ahead
and other activation conditions of the ESA
are met, the ESA will not be triggered
when the driver turns the steering wheel
at too small or large amplitude and the
driver's steering criteria of the system are
not met.
Function status description
When the ESA is enabled and the activation
conditions are met, if the vehicle speed exceeds
50km/h, the ESA ON indicator lamp will go
on. When the ESA is working, the ESA ON
indicator lamp will flash, and the instrument
cluster will give an audible alarm.
The ESA ON indicator lamp goes out
through Settings - ESA - OFF in MP5. At this
time, the ESA is disabled.
