Function activation conditions
The ALC can be used only when the following
conditions are met:
● All ICA activation conditions are met;
● No turn signal lamps are turned on;
● The vehicle speed is 60-130km/h;
● The target lane markings are clearly visible;
● There is no danger (vehicles accelerating
and approaching behind, vehicles
decelerating and approaching ahead, etc.) in
the target lane;
● The speed of the lead vehicle is more than
10km/h lower than the set cruising speed of
the ego vehicle during following.
● The vehicle will judge the quality of lane
markings, including lane markings on the
left and right sides of the current lane and
the target lane. Under the conditions of
road reflection/shadowed lane
markings/unclear lane markings, it may
be impossible to change lanes, so the
driver needs to drive carefully.
● When the vehicle is changing to the target
lane, if the vehicle is disturbed
horizontally due to situations such as road
disturbance, the lane change may be
unsmooth.
● If a lane change is terminated due to the
deceleration of a vehicle approaching
behind/vehicle ahead or the lost or
unclear lane markings, etc., the vehicle
may return to the original lane
automatically, and the fluctuation of lateral
control may occur in the whole process,
so the driver needs to drive carefully.
● In case of influence by the environment
(such as heavy rain/backlighting/road
reflection) or due to the characteristics of
the target, the monitoring function of the
front radar/front camera/peripheral corner
radar sensor will be disturbed and the
performance or function will be degraded,
which may cause failure to change lanes.
● Dirty or covered sensors may restrict the
detection. Do not cover the detection area
of sensors. Carefully clean the sensors if
necessary. The windshield in the front
area of interior rearview mirror should be
kept clean.
● In case of lost lane markings (blocked/lost
lane markings or large areas of road
surface covered by signs such as speed
bumps, etc.) during lane changes, the
lateral control may be degraded, so the
driver needs to maintain control of the
vehicle at all times during lane changes.
● In case of influence by the environment
(such as heavy rain/backlighting/road
reflection), the camera may not accurately
identify the lane marking type, which may
cause improper change lanes, so the
driver needs to drive carefully.
● According to the actual situation of lane
markings, the double dotted lines may
allow lane changes. It is recommended
not to request lane changes in the
direction of double dotted lines in road
sections where double dotted lines and
double solid lines are interspersed.
● After the ALC is enabled, all ICA related
functions will be enabled automatically,
the lane centering control function will not
be inhibited by the turn signal lamp, and
the system will correct the deviation
during automatic lane changes, so the
driver needs to drive carefully.
