Driving in severe cold weather
In severe cold weather, in addition to
requirements for driving in winter, pay attention
to the following:
● Ensure good battery performance.
● As the starting power provided by the battery
at low temperatures is lower than that at
normal temperatures, before the winter
comes, it is better to inspect the battery at an
authorized dealer or charge replace it if
necessary.
● If the vehicle needs to be parked in an
extremely cold environment for several days
or longer, remove the battery and store it in a
room with normal temperatures to protect it
from freezing.
● In severe cold weather, it is recommended to
park the vehicle in a garage, a shelter from
wind/rain/snow, or cover it with thickened
cotton clothes to avoid battery undervoltage
nor degrade cold start capabilities of the
vehicle.
● At extremely low ambient temperature (e.g.
below -30°C), if it is difficult or impossible to
start the engine, the vehicle may not be
faulty.
● If the ambient temperature is abnormally low,
it is forbidden to start the engine.
Driving in hot weather
In hot weather, due to high ambient temperature,
accidents are easily caused by dangerous
conditions such as engine overheating and tire
burst. Therefore, pay attention to the following:
● Choose oil and fluid (engine oil, coolant, etc.)
suitable for a high temperature environment.
● Before starting the engine, check that tire
pressure is normal.
● Before starting the engine, check that the
engine's cooling fan is operating normally,
the radiator is not blocked, and coolant is
sufficient.
● According to travel needs, it is recommended
to carry some necessary emergency supplies
such as bucket, jumper cable and heatstroke
prevention drug.
● Always pay attention to indications of the
coolant temperature gauge during driving. If
the temperature is too high, pull over safely
at once in a cool place to cool the engine
down. It is recommended to open the engine
hood for ventilation and heat dissipation.
Do not operate the hood locking handle when
the engine is running or just after the engine
is stopped for fear of scalding due to the high
temperature of the hood locking handle. After
operating the hood inside release handle,
wait for the engine to stop and cool down
before opening the hood.
● After the vehicle has been running for a
period of time, it is recommended to pull over
safely in a cool place to prevent accidents
caused by tire burst due to excessive tire
pressure and high temperatures.
● If ambient temperatures are abnormally high
(e.g. above 45°C), it is forbidden to start the
engine, which may cause spontaneous
combustion of the vehicle and thus personal
injuries.
