● Washing exterior of window
While removing dirt from the windshield with the
windshield washer, spray windshield washer
fluid onto the glass surface and then wipe the
window; otherwise the wiper blade and the glass
surface may be damaged
Even in light rain, spray windshield washer fluid
onto the glass surface and then wipe the
window.
Please use the windshield washer fluid provided
by an authorized dealer.
● Servicing underbody
In regions where anti-freezing salt has to be
used in winter, clean the underbody frequently to
protect the underbody and suspension system
against corrosion due to dirt or salt
accumulation.
In winter or spring, it is required to check the
sealing of the vehicle, and if necessary, do
sealing again.
● Washing aluminum alloy rims
Clean the aluminum alloy rims frequently,
especially in those regions where anti-freezing
salt will be sprayed on the roads in winter. If the
wheel contacts the salt, the aluminum alloy rims
will rust and fade.
Operate as follows in order to avoid staining
and fading the rims:
● Never clean the wheels with detergent
containing strong acid or strong alkali.
● Do not use wheel cleaner when the
wheels are hot. Please wait until the
wheel temperature is the same as the
ambient temperature.
● After applying the detergent, rinse the
wheels within 15 min to wash off the
detergent.
● Washing wheels
Wash the wheels while washing the vehicle to
keep the appearance tidy.
When replacing the wheels or washing the
underbody, clean the inside of wheels.
While cleaning the wheels, do not use abrasive
cleanser.
Regularly check the rims for pits or erosion,
which may result in pressure loss or rim
damage.
It is recommended to wax the wheels to prevent
any corrosion due to anti-freezing salt sprayed
on roads in winter.
● Washing chrome-plated parts
Regularly wash the chrome-plated parts with
non-abrasive chrome polishing agent to keep
them bright.
Precautions for washing
Never rinse the engine compartment with water;
otherwise, it may activate fault related to the
electrical wiring, engine and related components
in the engine compartment.
Never allow water or other fluids to contact
interior electrical components and air vent, or the
electrical components will get damaged.
Never use water to rinse the fuel filler.
