BLADE BACKUP: The “Blade Backup” parameter
controls the distance that the Blade retracts away from
the product during the “Slice Denial” period.
(Illustration 25) This parameter is set as a percentage
of one Slice Thickness. For most products, a setting of
75% of 1 slice thickness is normal.
BLADE RETRACT MOVE TIME: The “Blade Retract
Move Time” parameter controls how fast the Blade
returns to the Slicing position after the Slice Denial
period. (Illustration 26) This adjustment is set in
millimeters per second. Entering a lower setting,
increases the speed of the “Move Time.” Increasing
the setting, reduces the speed of the “Move Time.”
When running at high speeds, a faster “Move Time”
is required.
When running at slower speeds , a slower “Move
Time” can improve slice integrity.
START SLICING: The “Start Slicing” parameter
controls when the Blade moves toward the Shear Bar,
into the “Slicing” position. (Illustration 27) This
parameter is set as a degree of Knife Blade rotation.
