A8 Modbus Module: The Main Profibus
Cable travels from the XS3 Main Frame
Manifold to the AR8 Modbus Module and then
out to the AR15 Driver Control Node.
(Illustrations 14 and 15) The Terminating
Resistor on this cable should be set to the
“Off” position. The Computer sends
information to the Rotary and Linear Actuator
Motors over the Profibus through the Modbus
Converter Module. (Illustration 16) The A8
Modbus Converter Module converts the
Profibus communication to Modbus
communication and sends this information to
the Rotary and Linear Actuator Motors. The
Rotary and Linear Actuator Motors send
position feedback information to the Computer
through the Modbus Converter and the
Profibus Network.
