The Knife is very sharp! Use caution when reaching
into the hone area.
4. Remove the Knife guard/carrier and remove the edge
protector.
5. Close the door and jog the Knife around until the center
hub and Knife is in the position shown in Illustration 4.
6. Open the door.
STEP 4 ADJUST HONE ANGLE
Set the angle to the degree of the Knife bevel.
STEP 5 MARK THE CUTTING EDGE OF THE KNIFE
Color in the full width of the cutting edge about 50 mm (2 in.)
long, using a water soluble black marker. This must be done in
the area where the honing stone will contact the Knife when it is
lowered into place. (Illustration 5)
STEP 6 LOWER THE HONING MECHANISM
1. Make sure that the hone and deburr stones are
retracted. Hone: push and turn the knurled knob.
Deburr: pull out and push in locking pin. (Illustration 6)
2. Hold the honing mechanism with one hand and release
the latch. (Illustration 7) Carefully lower the mechanism
down to rest on the Knife cam.
