GRIPPING
GRIP RETRACT: The “Grip Retract” adjustment
controls the “retract” distance of the Grippers after
they have gripped the product. (Illustration 83) The
“Gripper Retract” lifts the product off the Loaf Gate
prior to opening. This adjustment is set in millimeters
or inches. Only set this high enough to lift the
product off the Loaf Gate, without excess travel.
GRIPPER RETRACT POSITION: The “Gripper
Retract Position” controls starting position of the
Grippers for the start of each “grip cycle.”
(Illustration 84) This parameter is set in millimeters
or inches of “Gripper Retract” travel.
To set this parameter, measure the length of the
longest loaves of product and add 50 mm (2.0
inches) to that number. Enter that length in the
“Gripper Retract Position” parameter.
