15 Decommissioning, storage and disposal
15.1 Decommissioning
Information about decommissioning the robot controller and manipulator
can be found in the respective assembly and operating instructions.
Information about decommissioning the gripper can be found in the
manufacturer documentation.
15.1.1 Switching off the ready2_educate cell
Procedure
1. Exit the programming exercise correctly.
2. Turn off the main switch of the robot controller.
Further information is contained in the operating and programming in-
structions for the KUKA System Software (KSS).
15.1.2 Decommissioning
Precondition
• Observe the ESD guidelines.
Procedure
1. Move robot into its transport position (>>> 7.1 "Transporting the
ready2_educate cell" Page 85).
2. Perform data backup.
3. Turn main switch of the robot controller to the “0” position.
4. Turn main switch of the control panel to the “0” position.
5. Disconnect the power cable from the supply.
6. Disconnect all supply lines.
15.2 Storage
Information about storing the robot controller and manipulator can be
found in the respective assembly and operating instructions.
Information about storing the energy supply system can be found in the
respective assembly and operating instructions.
Information about storing the gripper can be found in the manufacturer
documentation.
Notices
• Clean system components before putting them into storage. No clean-
ing agent residues may remain on the components. The components
must be dry.
• Subject the components to a visual inspection before putting them into
storage. Eliminate any defects before putting into storage.
• Seal off electrical connections with suitable covers.
• The place of storage must be as dry and dust-free as possible.
• Avoid temperature fluctuations.
