5.2 Safety functions
5.2.1 EMERGENCY STOP device
An EMERGENCY STOP device is located on the control panel and on the
smartPAD. If the EMERGENCY STOP device is pressed, the drives are
deactivated immediately in operating modes T1 and T2 and the robot
stops with a STOP 0. In the Automatic operating modes, the drives are
deactivated after 1 s and the robot stops with a STOP 1. The gripper
changes its status if an EMERGENCY STOP or operator safety is trig-
gered.
The EMERGENCY STOP device must be pressed as soon as persons or
equipment are endangered. Before operation can be resumed, the EMER-
GENCY STOP device must be turned to release it.
