5.3 Start-up and recommissioning
Before starting up systems and devices for the first time, a check must be
carried out to ensure that the systems and devices are complete and op-
erational, that they can be operated safely and that any damage is detec-
ted.
The valid national or regional work safety regulations must be observed
for this check.
Function test
The following tests must be carried out before start-up and recommission-
ing:
General test:
It must be ensured that:
• The training cell is correctly installed and fastened in accordance with
the specifications in the documentation.
• There are no foreign bodies or defective or loose parts on the training
cell.
• All required safety equipment is correctly installed and operational.
Test of safety-oriented circuits:
A function test must be carried out for the following safety-oriented circuits
to ensure that they are functioning correctly:
• EMERGENCY STOP device on the control panel
• EMERGENCY STOP device on the smartPAD
• Enabling device (in the test modes)
• Operator safety (in the automatic modes)
