13.1 Maintenance table
Description
The table provides an overview of the maintenance work to be carried out
on the cell (maintenance intervals, activities).
The maintenance intervals given in the table are valid for the operating
conditions specified in the technical data. KUKA Deutschland GmbH must
be consulted in the case of discrepancies!
Information about maintenance of the robot and robot controller is con-
tained in the robot operating instructions and in the robot controller op-
erating instructions.
Information about maintenance of the gripper is contained in the gripper
documentation.
Precondition
Adjacent system components must be stopped and secured.
Maintenance, cleaning and inspection measures must only be carried
out by appropriately qualified and authorized personnel. All other main-
tenance, cleaning and inspection work not described in this documenta-
tion must only be carried out by KUKA Deutschland GmbH.
WARNING
Before work is commenced on live parts of the cell, the main switch
must be turned off and secured against being switched on again by un-
authorized personnel. The incoming power cable must be deenergized.
The robot controller and mains supply lead must then be checked to
ensure that they are deenergized.
If the KR C4 or VKR C4 robot controller is used:
It is not sufficient, before commencing work on live parts, to execute an
EMERGENCY STOP or a safety stop, or to switch off the drives, as
this does not disconnect the robot system from the mains power supply
in the case of the drives of the new generation. Parts remain ener-
gized. Death or severe injuries may result.
