RememberthatanychangesyoumaketozonestatusinSetupmodearetemporary;assoonas
youselectanothersetup,thatsetup’sprogrammedzonestatustakesover.Tochangeasetup’s
zonestatuspermanently,
usetheSetupEditor(seeStatus on page 7‐8).
Soloing a Zone
Tosoloazone,settheStatusparameterontheSetupEditorCH/PROGpage(seeTheSet upEditor
andTheChannel/Program(CH/PROG)Pagebelow)toSolo(orSolo+Muted).TheChan/Layer
buttons—inadditiontoscrollingthroughthezonesofthecurrentsetup—nowselectthesoloed
zone.Ifyouscrollthroughthe
zones,youwillseetheredsoloLEDmovingacrossthemute
buttons.Afteronezoneissoloed,youcanchooseadifferentzonetobesoloedbypressingonits
zone‐statusbutton;thisactionunsolosthepreviouslysoloedzone.
Additionally,youcanconfigureasetupsuchthatyoucan
solozonesinrealtimebyassigning
anyofthecontrollerdestinationstoSoloZn.SeeControllers on page 7‐20formoreinformation
oncontrollerdestinationassignmentsinSetupmode.
The Setup Editor
FromSetupmode,presstheEditbuttontoentertheSetupEditor,whereyoucanmakechanges
tothecurrentlyselectedsetup.UsethesoftbuttonstoselectthevariousSetupEditorpages.The
upperlineofeachpagedisplaystheusualmodereminder,aswellasthecurrentSetupEditor
page,andthecurrentzone.UsetheChan/Layerbuttonstoselectoneofuptosixteendifferent
zones,eachhavingitsownsetofSetupEditorpages.
TheparametersontheSetupEditorpagesdefinewhateachofasetup’szonessends—bothto
internalprogramsandtotheMIDIOutport.
TheyalsodeterminehowthePC3K respondsto
MIDIsignalsreceivedfromaMIDIcontrollerconnectedtothePC3K’sMIDIInport(whenthe
LocalKeyboardChannelmatchesthetransmitchannelofyourMIDIcontroller).
Compare
PressingtheStoragebuttoncallsuptheCompareEditor,whichrecallsthesetuppre‐edit
settings,allowingyoutocompareyoureditedsetupwiththeoriginalsetup.Pressingthe
StoragebuttonagainreturnsyoutotheSetupeditor.UsingtheCompareEditormakesno
changestothecurrentsetup.
