playingstyle(howsoftorhardthatyoupressthekeys.)Thedefaultmapprovidesthewidest
range
ofpressure(aftertouch)expression,butyoumaywanttochooseadifferentmapifthe
defaultdoesnotsuityourplayingstyle.
ThereceivePressureMapaffectsthewaythePC3KreceivesMIDIpressure(aftertouch)values
fromitsUSBorMIDI Inport(seethecircledboxaboveforits
locationintheMIDIsignalflow.)
DifferentmapsoutputdifferentMIDIpressure(aftertouch)valuesforthesamereceivedMIDI
pressure(aftertouch)value.EachmapappliesadifferentcurvetoreceivedMIDIpressure
(aftertouch)valuesandremapsthemtonewvaluesbeforelettingthempass(thisparameterhas
noeffectonMIDI
datasentfromthePC3K’skeyboard.)Thedefaultmapprovidesthewidest

appliedtoakey(with4“Easiest”beingtheeasiest.)Maps4‐7makeitincreasinglyharder
to
produceMIDIpressurevaluesforthesamephysicalpressureappliedtoakey(with7“Hardest”
beingthehardest.)
